Another long gap. You know me…it’s just my way these days.
I say that this room is almost done, because I still have to make the outer, fabric shower curtain and eventually, I will redo the floor. It takes some mental preparation to take up the toilet and baseboards to do the flooring. I’ll get to it eventually, but right now, I’m just going to bask in the loveliness of this MUCH improved space.
So, here’s where we started. I know, right? UGLY! I almost forgot to take before photos and remembered right after I removed the cabinet doors.
I lived with this for almost two years. Of course, I kept it clean, but it was get in, do your business, and get out. That’s about as much time as I wanted to spend in here.
And one weekend later…….
I bought the Gerbera Daisies a long time ago because they were so cheery and I loved them. It was one of those things where I didn’t have a specific use in mind at the time, but they finally found a home here. I’ve moved them all over the place looking for just the right spot, but nothing seemed to click until I put them in this bathroom.
I picked up these sea shells on a trip to St. Augustine Florida years ago and I live them in here. The purple one was my mother’s and actually has The Lord’s Prayer carved into it.
I also need to get a nice rug and some towels, but I am so enjoying it!
