What is Voluntary Simplicity?

Voluntary simplicity is not about doing without. In fact it's just the opposite -- it's about having enough. Enough intimacy with others and with nature, enough sense of purpose and fulfilling work, enough fun and joy. Voluntary simplicity is about living life fully, of experiencing life as a whole human being. It's also about caring for the earth and people throughout the world who truly do not have enough.

In the Midst of Chaos

For those of you who have ever purchased a house, you know the stress and chaos that can cause in your life.  Surprise expenses popping up like bean sprouts and jumping through a dozen hoops for the finance company, full of fear that all the boxes I’m  packing will be all for nothing.

My home inspection is scheduled for this Tuesday and I’m praying to God that there is nothing majorly wrong with the house.  It’s perfect for me.  It’s got everything I was looking for and more.  If this deal falls through or I find out that there’s a huge problem with the house, it will be a long time before I find another house like this.

Momma always said, “worrying is a sin.   It says that you don’t have any trust in God.”  I am really trying to put my faith in Him and remember that no matter what happens, it will be for the best.  But I REALLY want this house!  We are set to close by the 30th if all goes well.

I decided that today I was going to de-stress a little by organizing some of the photos on my computer.  Takes my mind off of things and helps me relax.

I came across this and it just makes me smile.  This is my 5 month old baby granddaughter, Llia.

I’m glad tomorrow is Sunday.  I always snap back to center after a good church service.  I’ll let ya know how things go over the next couple of weeks.

Thats a great saying!
My dad always says, "you are only wasting your time and energy worrying about things you have no control over."
:) hang in there!
