What is Voluntary Simplicity?

Voluntary simplicity is not about doing without. In fact it's just the opposite -- it's about having enough. Enough intimacy with others and with nature, enough sense of purpose and fulfilling work, enough fun and joy. Voluntary simplicity is about living life fully, of experiencing life as a whole human being. It's also about caring for the earth and people throughout the world who truly do not have enough.

Almost Home

My paperwork has finally made it to underwriting!  But, I have good news and bad news.  We had hoped to close by the 28th, but due to paperwork snags, it looks like we won’t close until the 3rd or 4th, which puts me in a rush to move status.  I do have all my packing pretty much done and we’re ready to go there, but there are a few things in the house I had hoped to get done before moving.  I will adjust, I guess.  The good news is that my first payment won’t be until January 1st instead of December 1st.  That gives me two months of being mortgage/rent free, which will be nice for the holidays coming up.

I will be going offline for about a week or so once we close,  and I have put my Etsy shop on vacation mode for now.  Hopefully I can find a wi-fi hotspot somewhere close to check email and such until I come back online.

It’s going to be a fun journey watching my new house take shape and I’ll definitely be sharing that with you all!

Talk to you soon!
