What is Voluntary Simplicity?

Voluntary simplicity is not about doing without. In fact it's just the opposite -- it's about having enough. Enough intimacy with others and with nature, enough sense of purpose and fulfilling work, enough fun and joy. Voluntary simplicity is about living life fully, of experiencing life as a whole human being. It's also about caring for the earth and people throughout the world who truly do not have enough.

A Rare Find

Considering the popularity of vintage linens, when you find something like this, it is a true win!  I went into a thrift store/consignment shop over the weekend and I almost left before looking through the whole store, because most of what was there didn’t impress me.  But, I decided to look around more and I found these!  Brand new….never used and absolutely pristine!   The colors are vivid and the backgrounds are a crisp, bright white.

The pink ones are called Rose Duet and by Lady Pepperell.    The yellow ones are called Canterbury and by J.P. Stevens.  These are both from the 1950’s.

These are now in my Etsy shop.

Hi Deb,
Good eyes! I forget to check out the whole store too...
Right now we are on a "no spending" for a few weeks. Hubby needs a real estate closing.

Hi Deb, thanks for stopping by. Hope all is well with you. Your previous post of the test gardens reminded me of the Secrest Arboretum in Wooster OH which is where my grandfather worked years ago in the test gardens. Have a great day. Tammy
